This week, more than 50 Wisconsin school districts will have referendums on election ballots to cover expansion, renovation and other needs. We discuss the proposals, and how much money they will cost. We also get the story behind the decline in rural hospitals, and follow Badger mens basketball as they prepare for their first championship match in 74 years.

  • 74 Years Later, Badgers Basketball Is Back At NCAA Championship

    The Wisconsin Badgers are heading to the NCAA Championship in Indianapolis tonight for the first time in 74 years. Their only other appearance in the championship, which they won, was in 1941, only two years after the tournament began.

    On Saturday the Badgers beat undefeated Kentucky, a particularly gratifying win for the team since they lost to Kentucky in the Final Four last year. Tonight they will face Duke, a team they lost to earlier in the season. The game begins at 8:18 pm Central.

    On April 7, 57 school districts in Wisconsin will have referendums on the ballot. An education reporter talks about these different referendums and why there are so many.
