April 30, 2005 Saturday 2PM CT

Thirty years ago, on April 30 1975, the last U.S. helicopter took off from the roof of the U.S. embassy in Saigon, signaling the end of the Vietnam War. But today, Americans are going back to Vietnam, this time as tourists. This hour on Here on Earth, join Jean Feraca and her guests in a discussion about how tourism can build bridges and help Americans think of Vietnam as a people and a culture, not a war.
Guest
- Dick Schonberger (SHOWN-ber-ger), a Vietnam vet who organizes tours back to Vietnam for veterans
- Marcia Selva (SELL-vuh), one of the founders of Global Community Service Foundation, a non-profit organization which helps grassroots community groups in Southeast Asia.
