The Beautiful Things That Heaven Bears

APRIL 10, 2007 TUESDAY AT 3PM CT

There is a buzz about the debut novel, The Beautiful Things That Heaven Bears, by an Ethiopian-born writer. It was set in an African-American neighborhood within spitting distance of the White House in Washington D.C. and it concerns the lives of three displaced African men. A twist on the American Dream. This hour on Here on Earth: Radio Without Borders, Jean Feraca talks with the author.

Guest
  • Dinaw Mengestu, Ethiopian-born writer, author of "The Beautiful Things That Heaven Bears"
