  • Bill 3/3/08: "For decades, toilets in Japan have featured a spigot and basin on the toilet tank, allowing the user to wash his hands with the same fresh water that refils the toilet. This is an inferior alternative to composting toilets, but a drammatic improvement in water conservation over Western toilets."
