Tree of Rivers: The Story of the Amazon

When John Hemming was just 26, his first expedition to the Amazon was cut short when its leader was ambushed and killed. In the 50 ensuing years, he has attempted to end the centuries old cycle of violence and become a powerful advocate for the rain forest and its peoples.
