Can art save the world’s coral reefs? On the ocean floor near Cancun stand hundreds of life-sized sculptures, inhabiting a world of watery silence. Each statue offers prime habitat for coral, fish and other marine life, allowing nature to add the finishing touches to these breathtaking works—just like the sculptor intended. Mexico's Museum of Underwater Modern Art shows what a symbiotic relationship between art and nature might look like. But, for this exhibit, you'll need to don a snorkel and fins.
