Bavaria, Bach and Berlin! Designed especially for Wisconsin Public Radio listeners, this holiday classical music journey promises be an amazing adventure. The opportunities for knowledge, food, music, art and sheer fun will thrill you, and you’ll feel at home in this land where so many of our Christmas traditions originate. Accompanied by historian Gabriel Fawcett (guide of the 2011 WPR Winter Waltz), you’ll stroll through some of Germany’s most beautiful cities and walk in the footsteps of Wagner, Pachelbel, Telemann, Mendelssohn, Mahler, Grieg, Schumann and Bach.

Beer halls and the palaces of mad monarchs in Munich give way to medieval splendor as we travel by high speed train to Nuremberg, a day of music heritage and living classical history in Leipzig, culminating in unrivalled experiences in Berlin. Join Wisconsin Public Radio’s Stephanie Elkins and experience the holidays in Europe this December.
