More than 8,400 listeners pledged $1,035,000 to Wisconsin Public Radio's fall membership drive (November 4-15). This was the first time in our history that listener-contributions surpassed the $1 million mark.

"We believe that a combination of factors contributed to the success of this drive," said Phil Corriveau, director of radio. "More people than ever are listening, the pledge drive was a bit longer than usual, and our recent election coverage received a lot of praise from listeners." Funds from membership drives are used to supplement state and federal funding for the operation of the Wisconsin Public Radio network.

The next pledge drive is scheduled for late-February.
