Have you ever been to "Reloville"? Or maybe you live there. There's more than one. You can find them in Atlanta, Dallas and Denver, among other places. "Relovilles" are the sprawling subdivisions where mid-level managers and executives live – for a few years before they uproot their families and do it again. In this hour of To the Best of Our Knowledge, we'll explore life inside America's new rootless professional class. Also, film-maker Guy Maddin talks about his critically-acclaimed documentary about his hometown, "My Winnipeg."

SEGMENT 1:

Rachel Simon's new book is "Building A Home with My Husband: A Journey through the Renovation of Love." Simon tells Anne Strainchamps that the physical transformation of the house caused her to reflect on transforming herself and rebuilding the most important relationships in her life, especially those with her mother and husband.

SEGMENT 2:

Peter T. Kilborn reported for the New York Times for 30 years. Now he's written a book called "Next Stop, Reloville: Life Inside America's New Rootless Professional Class." He tells Steve Paulson about the mid-level managers and executives who move every few years, (sometimes enormous distances, or to foreign countries) to advance their careers. Also, Reverend Dr. Michael A. Schuler is the parish minister of the First Unitarian Society of Madison (Wisconsin) and author of "Making the Good Life Last: Four Keys to Sustainable Living." He talks with Jim Fleming about the satisfactions of "Staying Put."

SEGMENT 3:

Guy Maddin's latest film is a "docu-fantasia" about his hometown. It's called "My Winnipeg." TTBOOK producer Doug Gordon lived for many years in Winnipeg, so he talked with Guy Maddin and prepared this report on Madden's award-winning film.
