SEGMENT 1

Publisher of Hustler Magazine and hero of a big new movie, Larry Flynt tells Steve Paulson that he's no hero but that his Supreme Court victory for free speech benefits all Americans. Also, some thoughts on censorship and parenthood from economist Mark Montgomery.

SEGMENT 2:

Judith Rodin is President of the University of Pennsylvania and Chair of The Penn National Commission on Society, Culture and Community. She tells Judith Strasser that the group plans to study the reasons behind the explosion of incivility in American society. Also, Benjamin DeMott thinks all the civility study groups are wrong. He tells Steve Paulson that bad manners are not the problem. DeMott is a contributor to The Nation and Harper's and the author of "The Trouble with Friendship: Why Americans Can't Think Straight about Race."

SEGMENT 3:

Rochelle Gurstein teaches at the Bard Graduate Center in New York and is the author of "The Repeal of Reticence." She talks with Jin Fleming about how the contemporary debate about civility echoes the Victorians' concern for public decency.
