Wisconsin Gov. Scott Walker, who is running for president, hasn’t spent a lot of time in the Badger state lately, something that concerns Democrats.
The governor’s office says Walker will speak at a small business summit Wednesday in Eau Claire, and will take questions from the news media, if time allows. It’s the kind of event the Republican often did in Wisconsin, before he launched his presidential bid. State Democratic Party chair Martha Laning said Wisconsin taxpayers should see Walker more often.
“We elected Gov. Walker to be our governor, and it’s sad when we think it’s actual news that he’s in the state,” said Laning. “We need a governor here working at the job he was elected to do.”
