The trial will enter its sixth day on Monday morning, and is expected to last through Thursday.

Among witnesses that could be called this week are elections experts, state employees who administer elections laws and people affected by the state’s voter ID requirement.

In particular, the liberal groups challenging the law are expected to call Dr. Allen Lichtman, who has been an expert witness in more than 75 civil and voting rights cases across the country. They’re also expected to call Division of Motor Vehicles administrator Kristina Boardman. The DMV issues the IDs now required to vote in Wisconsin.
