Nation Beat
SEPTEMBER 11, 2008 THURSDAY AT 3PM CT

Which nation, and which beat? What makes Nation Beat special is that it offers no simple answers. They are rhythm gatherers, harvesting the fruit of 500 years of cultural crossbreeding, with the sounds of the northeast of Brazil and the southern United States blending together seamlessly. Hear them performing live, as a preview to their upcoming performances as part of Madison Wisconsin's World Music Festival.

Guest
  • Nation Beat, a 6-people band specializing in Brazilian and New Orleans second-line funk
