A 21-year-old Milwaukee man was shot and killed by a Walworth County sheriff’s deputy following an attempted arrest in East Troy that lead to a chase and the apprehension of two other suspects.

What started as a drug investigation in the village of East Troy in northeast Walworth County ended in gunfire. Sheriff’s Department Capt. Scott McClory said the incident escalated quickly.

“One of the persons in the suspect vehicle was struck by gunfire when the driver failed to follow commands from law enforcement officers at the scene. The suspect vehicle fled from officers and a pursuit of that vehicle terminated in the city of Muskego,” he said.

“They are under arrest and being held in the Waukesha County jail,” he said.

The suspect names are still not available as the state Department of Justice investigation continues.
