The husband of a Wauwatosa police officer found shot to death on Christmas Eve has been arrested in connection with the shooting. Ben Sebena was booked Wednesday night into the Milwaukee County Jail. He’s expected to be charged in the shooting death of his wife Jennifer Sebena, a Wauwatosa Police Officer.

Police haven’t released many details, but they say she was shot while on-duty. Police began looking for her after she failed to respond to radio calls.

Ben Sebena is a decorated Marine who served two tours in Iraq. He was honorably discharged in 2005 after he sustained severe injuries during a mortar attack.

Jennifer Sebena had been with the Suburban Milwaukee Police Department for two years. She is the first Wauwatosa police officer to be killed in the line of duty and according to the Officer Down Memorial Page, the 263rd killed in Wisconsin.

Her funeral is scheduled for Saturday.
