SPAMMING

In the days before email accounts, junk mail was usually a stack of grocery flyers and a coupon in your mailbox. But today, unsolicited e-advertising – more commonly known as SPAM – can bombard users like never before. Spammers can blast out millions of offers for wrinkle cream, pornography, timeshares, and college diplomas in the blink of an eye. In the second part of our series, `Netted: Life Online, Brian Bull reports on how the SPAM problem isn’t only here to stay, but it’s going to get much worse:
