2007 State of the Tribes Address

The third annual State of the Tribes address was held in the Assembly Chambers in the Wisconsin state capitol building in Madison on March 1st, 2007. The address was delivered by Tribal Chairwoman Patricia R. DePerry before state lawmakers and regional tribal leaders from the 11 recognized tribes of Wisconsin. (Photos provided by Brent Nicastro)

The color guard, all Native American vets, entered the Assembly chambers carrying flags of the United States, Wisconsin and MIA as well as Tribal flags.
