Special Guest Speaker - Staryoung K. Thao
Staryoung K. Thao is the director of the United Hmong Community and Asian Resource Center in Green Bay. He talked about the services that they have available in the Brown County area. The main topic for the night is to help the new to the country Hmong and Laotian refugees to prepare for the exam that they have to take to get their permanent residents ID and citizenship. He also asked those new to the country not to wait for too long because the fee to apply for permanent resident and citizenship keep increasing.

Cher So Thao, from The Catholic Dioces of Green Bay, the Refugees and Hispanic Services, talks about how much it would cost to apply for permanent residents. The fee for applying for citizenship costs about $595.00 plus $80.00 for fingers print. The immigration offices have been changing to many locations around the country since 9/11.
