Special announcement by Cher So Thao – Starting on July 29, 2007, the immigration processing fee has increased to $500 plus $80 for finger print when applying for citizenship. Refugees are not subjected to paying the $80 fee for fingerprint. Immigrates who want to apply for permanent residency in the United States have to pay $930.00 plus $80.00 fingerprint. Lost I-94 card will take about 7 to 8 months to get back and costs $290.00

• MN and WI’s senators wrote letters to the Gov. in Thailand – asking not to send Hmong refugee back to Laos. Protecting their safety.
• Africa – Flood damages cost more than $15 million

Public announcement: Chia Yang (from Madison, 608-320-1437) is trying to find a family that was in a car accident in Appleton area. Two of the children died and one was handicapped. She is trying to find the one who survive the crash so the state can help support the family.
