• Plan to join the Hmong new year in CA, MN, Laos or Thailand
• North Carolina –Hmong soccer tournament and Festival
• Green Bay – Hmong New Year at Brown Co. Arena

Public announcement: Next weekend, October 27, 2007, will be the Lor family Festival dinner - Free

• Eau Claire – Hmong New Year celebration, November 10 – 11, 2007. Free
• Wausau – Soua Yang’s Fresh Meat Food Market was vandalized for the third time
• City plan to clean up leaves from street, starting October to November.
• WPS – 2% rate increase, starting November to March 2008
• Stevens Point – a senior high school student suspend for putting hunting gun in the trunk of his car after early morning hunting.
• Leaders in Wisconsin have not settled on budgets
• SSI recipients will get 2.3% increase in their check, starting January 2008
• Madison – new law gave police officers the right to stop drivers any time
• Wausau – Hmong police officer, Chueng Lee, crashed his car on bridge, injuring his wife. Court date canceled due to the wife unable to testify. $500,000 bond set for Mr. Lee.

Special Guest Speaker – Interview Kao Vang, on the phone in California.
Kao owns the Kao’s Cattle in Fresno area. He is a Hmong young man who grew up in the United States, and has a little knowledge about how to raise animals. But he saw a business opportunities to run a cattle business. Within three years of his business, he became a successful business owner. He sells over 15 to 30 cows, sheep and pigs to the Hmongs, Hispanics and other ethnic groups of people each week
