HISTORY
Every Wednesday night listeners can tune into Jazz Odyssey, a voyage through the current transitions and styles of jazz. Guiding this musical journey is Chris Kuborn, the host of the show.
Chris has been a musician as long as he can remember, playing a wide variety of percussion instruments. In college he played with the jazz band, and was introduced to the steel drum, an instrument he still plays today. His music has allowed him to travel the globe, having performed in the Eastern USA, Canada, Europe and South America. He still performs with the steel group “Island Magic”
Chris has been on the air since college, hosting a variety of shows from alternative to classical, including a jazz show. Since then he has remained active in the radio community, working on numerous occasions with NPR affiliates in Wisconsin and Ohio. Chris has been the host of the Wednesday-night jazz show since April of 2007.
