Contribute to Wisconsin Public Radio

Have you ever considered giving a major contribution to Wisconsin Public Radio? You can by becoming a Day Sponsor or part of the 9XM Leadership Circle.

What is a Day Sponsor?

Becoming a Day Sponsor is a great way to celeberate a special occasion, whether it's a birthday, wedding, or an anniversary. There are specific Day Sponsor Guidelines you must follow and you can find those guidelines here.

If you are interested in becoming a Day Sponosr, you can fill out the Day Sponsorship form or contact Ellen Clark by e-mail, or call (920) 465-2664.

What is the 9XM Leadership Circle?

The 9XM Leadership Circle is comprised of individuals who make a major gift of $1200 or more during the course of one year. These gifts provide a foundation of financial stability for Wisconsin Public Radio and its programs.

There are different 9XM Leadership Levels and you can find out what level you want to contribute at by clicking here. If you have any questions about joining the "circle" contact Ellen Clark by e-mail, or call (920) 465-2664.

What 9XM Means

Wisconsin Public Radio began in 1917, thanks to leaders on the University of Wisconsin campus. Professor Earl M. Terry and his physics students transmitted music and voice using handmade vacuum tubes. At that time WPR was known as Radio Station 9XM. 9XM then became WHA-AM, the flagship for what is now the 24 station Wisconsin Public Radio Network. Through the 9XM recognition we honor those individuals who came before us and helped to make WPR the radio network it is today.

If a major gift is not for you, you can still contribute to WPR by making a one-time gift at any level or make a sustaining gift.
