The Blue Side with Mary Flynn
----------------------------------------------------

* Recently on the show Mary played the music of James Wheeler. Wheeler entered the blues scene in the 1960’s backing Billy Boy Arnold at the Club Arden in Chicago. In ’63 he formed his own band, the Jaguars, and had opportunities to play behind scores of blues greats, even after the band’s break up in ’72. During his seven year stint with Otis Rush, Wheeler was encouraged to sing. After 40 years of being a sideman, Wheeler created his own album titled Ready in 1998. Wheeler’s most recent album is Can’t Take It.

The Blue Side with Mary Flynn can be heard every
Tuesday night from 10 p.m. to midnight
