Pianist Ariela Bohrod joins Norman on the Midday for the third time to perform Mendelssohn, Beethoven and a Liszt transcription of Schumann’s Widmung live in Buck Studio. She also talks about “synaesthesia” or how she associates various keys and chords with colors.
Bohrod is a previous winner of the Bolz Young Artist Competition Final Forte and winner of the Interlochen Arts Academy Concerto Competition, as well as a silver medal in the Fischoff National Chamber Music Competition Junior Division. She currently studies piano performance with Pavlina Dokovska at Mannes College the New School for Music on a full-tuition merit scholarship.
