The Varshavski-Shapiro Piano Duo join Norman in the WPR Performance Studio in Madison. The duo includes Stanislava Varshavski and Diana Shapiro who have played together since 1998. They’ll be playing at Farley’s House of Piano on Sunday, November 2, 2014 in Madison.
The studio performance includes Mendalssohn’s Allegro Brilliante, Rachmaninoff’s Opus 11 for Four Hands, Ravel’s Malagueña and Stravinsky’s Petrushka.
Both pianists hold Bachelor and Master’s degrees from the Jerusalem Academy of Music and Dance, and in 2011 both completed Doctoral degree studies at the University of Wisconsin-Madison.
