The Twin Ports ConnectionWisconsin Public Radio's News & Classical Music Service reaches throughout the state and connects individuals and families with news to feed the mind and music to soothe the soul.
Unfortunately, due to unreliable signal strength, not everyone in the Twin Ports region has been part WPR's News & Classical Music community. With your help, we can change that . . . Expanding Coverage, Connecting CommunitiesThe Federal Communications Commission recently granted Wisconsin Public Radio permission to construct a new, full-powered FM radio station to serve the Twin Ports. The new signal extends broadcast coverage of our News & Classical Music Service to the entire Twin Ports area (see map). Support for the project has been partially secured through grants from the Wisconsin Public Broadcasting Foundation and the Wisconsin Public Radio Association. An additional $50,000 is needed to complete the funding. Information and Inspiration for Years to ComeConstruction of WSSU 88.5 FM ensures a strong signal for the News & Classical Music Service with its special mix of rich and diverse music and award-winning news and public affairs coverage. Make a gift today and help area residents connect with their neighbors in the region and around the state through Wisconsin Public Radio. If you have questions or would like to make a gift, please contact Ginger Alden, WPR Director of Major Giving, at 715-212-3130 or email ginger.alden@wpr.org. |
