Gov. Scott Walker told delegates to the Republican National Convention in Cleveland on Wednesday night that “America deserves better” than likely Democratic presidential nominee Hillary Clinton.
Walker framed the 2016 presidential election as a choice.
“The well-connected in Washington are standing behind Hillary Clinton because Hillary Clinton is one of them. They want more of the same. Donald Trump is standing with the American people,” he said.

Walker explicitly endorsed Republican presidential nominee Donald Trump on multiple occasions in his speech, marking a departure from just a few weeks ago when he wouldn’t even mention Trump by name.
But he spent most of his speech going after Clinton to the delight of the RNC crowd.
“Hillary Clinton is the ultimate Washington liberal insider. If she were any more on the inside, she’d be in prison,” he said.
Walker also touted his own record, including his clash with protesters over the state’s Act 10 legislation, his tax cuts and his recall victory.
Wisconsin Republicans have been part of the speaking program each night at the national convention in Cleveland. That continues Thursday night with Republican National Committee chair Reince Priebus of Kenosha scheduled to speak.
