Gov. Scott Walker says he will explicitly endorse GOP presidential candidate Donald Trump during his primetime speech to the Republican National Convention on Wednesday night.

There was a time when Walker was highly critical of Trump and when he wouldn’t even mention the GOP nominee by name. But speaking to reporters in Cleveland, Walker made it clear he was fully behind Trump’s candidacy now.

“I jokingly point out Donald Trump wasn’t my first pick. I was my first pick. And obviously, he wasn’t my first pick in the Wisconsin primary,” Walker said. “But I stood here last August in Cleveland and said that any other Republicans running would be a better president than Hillary Clinton. I said it then, and I meant it, and I mean it today as well. And I’m going to talk about that tonight.”

Walker said he would stress the importance of preventing Democratic presidential contender Hillary Clinton from nominating the next U.S. Supreme Court justice.
