Gov. Scott Walker says he doesn’t see a problem with members of his presidential campaign having come over to the state’s executive residence for meetings.

The liberal group One Wisconsin Now has received some of the records it requested about visitors to the governor’s mansion. The logs from earlier this year show that people working on Walker’s presidential bid were among those dropping by.

But Walker said the mansion was not his campaign headquarters.

“I have one, people saw it was a big building right over by the airport. That’s where our campaign activities were run out of,” he said. “But occasionally for me, it was more convenient as I balanced time between being governor and looking at some policy issues, to have staff occasionally come over to my home.”

Walker said he followed the law and also didn’t hold campaign fundraisers at the mansion.

One Wisconsin Now said it’s seeking more visitor records.
