Gov. Scott Walker is expected to campaign with two Republican presidential candidates in advance of this week’s GOP presidential debate in Milwaukee.

Some GOP presidential candidates will campaign in southeastern Wisconsin, ahead of Tuesday night’s faceoff in Milwaukee.

Florida U.S. Sen. Marco Rubio will hold a rally in Pewaukee and fundraisers in Milwaukee and Burlington. Meanwhile, former Florida Gov. Jeb Bush will speak at a Latino charter school in Waukesha. Walker is slated to appear with Bush and the governor said he’ll be at a Rubio fundraiser.

Carroll University political scientist Lilly Goren said to some extent the governor’s presence can still help a candidate.

“I would assume that it does, because Scott Walker is still popular with Republicans, though not as popular as he has been, before his presidential run,” she said.

But Goren said the Republican primary still seems quite fluid, meaning many of Walker’s backers as governor, haven’t yet made their choice for president. Walker also said he and his family will attend Tuesday night’s debate.
