Gov. Scott Walker’s approval rating continues to slip, according to a new Marquette University Law School poll, with most respondents saying they also don’t want Walker to run for a third term in Madison.

The survey of 800 registered Wisconsin voters was conducted after Walker dropped out of the presidential race last week. It shows Walker at a 37 percent approval rating, down two points from August. Just 35 percent in the new poll said they want Walker to run for a third term as governor. Pollster Charles Franklin said Walker is down a bit, but maybe not out.

“It’s a long time between now and the 2018 election, but at the moment at least, the decline in his approval and other kinds of ratings that we saw before he exited the race are still there,” Franklin said.
