| On the seventh anniversary of Katrina, Hurricane Isaac is making landfall in New Orleans. In the first part of the program, Rob Ferrett gets an update on the current situation facing the Gulf Coast. Then Rob and his second guest spend the rest of the hour discussing how communities respond to natural disasters.

- David Rogers, Hasselman Chair of Geological Engineering at Missouri University of Science and Technology. He was part of the National Science Foundation's Independent Levee Investigation Team, and also was a member of the Coastal Louisiana Recovery Panel.
