From the daily satire of Jon Stewart and Steven Colbert, to the Internet memes and videos like "Obama Girl," the popularity of mixing politics with pop culture is undeniable. But is this a good or bad thing for the candidates? And does it have an impact on voter behavior? In this hour, Gene Purcell and his guest discuss the intersection of pop culture and politics. Guest: Danna Young, assistant professor of communication at the University of Delaware. She researches political media effects, public opinion, political satire and the psychology of political humor.

Please note that the amount of time required to download a one-hour WPR program will vary depending on the speed of your internet connection. See the table (right) for estimated download times.

Once you click on the "Start Download Now" button below, the download dialog window may not appear for several seconds. Do NOT click on the button more than once or your download request may be refused.

When you start the download, several dialog boxes may appear on your screen:

If a "file download" box appears, simply click the "SAVE" button.
If a "Save-As" box appears, locate a folder where you want to save the MP3 program file and click "SAVE".
Some browsers will automatically save the file to a pre-determined location (often to your desktop or Documents folder).
A "Download Progress" box may appear showing the file downloading to your PC. When the download is completed, you may receive a final "Download Complete" indication. You can then CLOSE this dialog box.
Mac Users: iTunes may automatically launch and start playing the file after it's downloaded.
