Research libraries throughout the country are taking a stand regarding the digitization and dissemination of their collections. After nine, Kathleen Dunn and her guests discuss why some libraries choose corporations, such as Google who place restrictions on the material, while others opt to join the Open Content Alliance, which has no restrictions. Please note however that you may not sell, edit or otherwise modify the content of these programs. Also we must limit each visitor to 20 downloads per day. Please note that the amount of time required to download a one-hour WPR program will vary depending on the speed of your internet connection. See the table (right) for estimated download times.

Once you click on the "Start Download Now" button below, the download dialog window may not appear for several seconds. Do NOT click on the button more than once or your download request may be refused.

When you start the download, several dialog boxes may appear on your screen:

If a "file download" box appears, simply click the "SAVE" button.
If a "Save-As" box appears, locate a folder where you want to save the MP3 program file and click "SAVE".
Some browsers will automatically save the file to a pre-determined location (often to your desktop or Documents folder).
A "Download Progress" box may appear showing the file downloading to your PC. When the download is completed, you may receive a final "Download Complete" indication. You can then CLOSE this dialog box.
Mac Users: iTunes may automatically launch and start playing the file after it's downloaded.
