| After nine, on Here On Earth: Radio Without Borders, Jean Feraca and her guests talk about the lives and stories of brave Afghan women who find their voices through writing about themselves, an act of sheer courage in a society that strives to silence their expression.
Guests:
Masha Hamilton: founder of AWWP, is the author of four novels and founder of two world literacy projects: the Camel Book Drive (2007) and AWWP (2009). A Brown University graduate, she teaches writing workshops around the U.S. and in Afghanistan.
Tina Singleton: writer and AWWP Country Director, international human rights advocate with 18 years' experience, Tina is currently living in Kabul where she helps run the program. |
