| After nearly dying out in the 1990s, it's making a smashing comeback. After six, Joy Cardin welcomes two veteran skaters to talk about how the entertainment sport Roller Derby has evolved into the contact sport it is today.
Guests:
- Alex “Axles of Evil” Cohen, local host, All Things Considered, KPCC, Los Angeles. Frequent contributor, NPR.
- Jennifer “Kasey Bomber” Barbee, writer for Blood and Thunder magazine.
-- Both have skated with the L.A. Derby Dolls since 2003. |
