| NPR host Michele Norris planned to write a book to further the national conversation about race and politics. Instead, she unexpectedly found herself confronting hard truths about the racial history of her own family. After eight, Joy Cardin talks with NPR's Michele (MEE-shell) Norris about her new memoir... and the hidden conversations about race in America.
