Women in Criminal Justice Roundtable
How are women different from men in the criminal justice system and what does the system do to help rehabilitate women? We talk with women who work with women convicted of crimes in La Crosse County about how the criminal justice system works and some of the stigma associated with Ophelia’s House, a type of halfway house designed to get women convicted of crimes the help they need to become productive members of society. There was an incident recently where a couple of residents of Ophelia’s House were involved with a drug overdose.

Female Offenders and Supporters
We talk with current and past residents of Ophelia’s House about the help they receive getting back to being productive members of society. We also talk with a member of the La Crosse County Jail Ministry who helps female offenders.
