E-mail Lemon-Flavored Fish Oil
T reads an e mail from Kathy in Bedford, WI who is responding to a previous episode mentioning how fish oil tablets are difficult to swallow. Kathy suggests lemon-flavored fish oil, which she takes by spoon with orange juice or puts on top of salad. Z says he wouldn’t try it.

#4 Summer's Point, NJ Diet for Celiac's Disease and Gastroparesis
Z recommends trial and error for the Gastroparesis - citing that each case allows for a tolerance of different foods. He suggests multiple visits with a dietition to sort out a menu of available foods. He mentions Prepulsid, which is a drug that can help, but it requires that people get special permission by a Gastroenterologist for Rx. For the Celia's Disease, Z says to avoid all wheat foods.

Z clarifies that B12 in ANY form is the same vitamin. Shots are not better or "purer" than pills. B12 is manufactured by animals only. Z says the shots are onlyusefulin cases of Crohn's Disesase where you are unable to absorb the pills from the pills.

T reads a listener myth from Charli in Oklahoma who wants to know if the rumor of a anana a day is good for BP. Z says this is true. It's because of the potassium.

The monthly out of pocket cost for Accutane ($700). T quips that the caller is looking for less expensive advice. Z explains that given Accutane's side effects, there isn't a generic drug company demand to recreate it. Z suggests a maximum dose od Doxycycline or Minocyclin which are avilable in a generic (read: cheaper) fom. He recommends (150mg) of Diflucan (also not expensive) once a week to counter the yeast infection side effects of the antibiotics.
