National Puppy Day! Photos From Central Time Listeners
March 23, 2020
“We had been planning to get a puppy for our three kids (ages 7, 4 and 1) this summer, but accelerated those plans when we realized how long social isolation measures might last and – after searching rescue agencies and breeders all weekend – we were lucky to adopt one on St. Patrick’s Day. Our 8-week-old Cavalier King Charles Spaniel puppy, Rhapsody, is from a registered breeder so she is not a rescue dog herself, but she has truly rescued our family during these strange days of social isolation. Her presence has brought constant excitement and giggles into our home and erased the disappointment of so many cancelled plans. The photos we have been sharing of Rhapsody with “her” three kids have resulted in such cheerful messages and fun story sharing online! Our Pandemic Puppy is happily settled into her “furever” home, and the timing couldn’t be better.” ~ listener Vickie

We talked on the show about how a lot of people have stepped up to adopt or foster shelter animals. Central Time producer Tim says “this our rescue we’re naming Finn. We think he’s 5-6-months old, and was given up by his previous owner in Tennessee.” Congrats on the new addition, Tim!
Owner Jane says that this is “Eggs” lounging on her bed while soaking up some sunshine. I think most of us would do the same!
