Since 1931, radio broadcasts from “The Metropolitan Opera” have been a Saturday tradition in many American households, and this season’s lineup combines live and archival broadcasts with thoughtful insights and interviews by Host Debra Lew Harder.
The 2024-25 season highlights include Met premieres of Jeanine Tesori’s “Grounded” and John Adams’ “Antony and Cleopatra,” new productions of classics like Guiseppe Verdi’s “Aida” and Richard Strauss’ “Salome”, and longtime favorites including “The Magic Flute” by Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart, Giacomo Puccini’s “La Boehme,” and Georges Bizet’s “Carmen.”
