Congratulations to Katarina Kenney who earned first place in Madison Symphony Orchestra’s The Final Forte Young Artists Competition broadcast live on WPR and PBS Wisconsin on Wednesday, Mar. 6. Katarina is a cellist and student at Madison Country Day School.

Second place was awarded to violinist Jane Story from Stevens Point. La Crosse pianist Andre Peck and Oregon marimba player Elliot Lesperance earned honorable mentions for their performances.

All of these outstanding performances will be rebroadcast on WPR’s NPR News & Music stations this Sunday, Mar. 10 at 12:30 p.m. and on PBS Wisconsin’s Wisconsin Channel on Friday, Mar. 8 at 8 p.m. Learn more about Katarina and all of the finalists here.
