Tune in live special coverage of VP candidate debate on Oct. 1

CBS News Vice Presidential Debate October 1 on WPR News

On Tuesday, Oct. 1 at 8 p.m. WPR News stations and wpr.org will carry NPR’s live special coverage of the CBS News Vice Presidential Candidate debate.

Republican Party candidate Sen. JD Vance of Ohio and Democratic Party candidate Gov. Tim Walz of Minnesota will debate in New York.

The debate will be moderated by “CBS Evening News” anchor and managing editor Norah O’Donnell and “Face the Nation” moderator and CBS News chief foreign affairs correspondent Margaret Brennan.

NPR’s Asma Khalid will host this coverage, with reporting and analysis from NPR White House Correspondent Tamara Keith, Political Correspondent Susan Davis and Political Reporter Stephen Fowler.

This live special coverage will preempt “Fresh Air,” “Today, Explained” and may extend into “Chapter A Day.”
