Mai J. Lo Lee, who serves on the Board of the Wisconsin Public Radio Association, is the 2024 Green Bay Packers “Inspire Change Changemaker.” The award recognizes local leaders who are making a difference in their community, in alignment with the NFL’s “Inspire Change” initiative.

Mai will be recognized on the field before an upcoming game at Lambeau Field, and the Packers will donate $10,000 to her selected charity, the Fox Valley Literacy Program.

In addition to her service with the WPRA, Mai has an extensive record of advocacy and educational service in Northeast Wisconsin, including on the Governor’s Advisory Council on Equity and Inclusion, and on the boards of the Green Bay Botanical Garden and the Untitled Town Book and Author Festival.

Mai is a lifelong WPR listener who shared stories of growing up on a ginseng farm in central Wisconsin as part of the “Home is Here” project in 2023. Mai also interviewed her sister, Beth Lo, during StoryCorps’ mobile tour stop in Green Bay. The two talked about their lives – and reading – in a segment that aired on WPR’s “Wisconsin Life” statewide.

In the statement from the Packers announcing the award, the team praised Mai’s deep commitment to “belonging, wellbeing, and inclusion for underrepresented groups through her advocacy and educational endeavors.”
