Every year on the summer solstice, musicians across the globe of all skill levels celebrate Make Music Day. There are 21 Make Music events in Wisconsin — more than any other state in the US. We talk to organizers of events in Barron and Madison and hear a sample of music from both communities.

Festival celebrates Milwaukee's role in creation of typewriter, QWERTY keyboard
More than 150 years ago, the first practical typewriter was invented in Milwaukee by Christopher Latham Sholes. The QWERTY keyboard that Sholes invented is still used today on computers and phones. We talk with the founders of QWERTYFEST MKE which aims to celebrate this piece of Wisconsin history.
