Years after Julia Collin Davison at “America’s Test Kitchen” appeared on WPR’s “Central Time” to offer cooking tips for pancakes, throngs of WPR readers keep coming back to one pancake recipe she shared that day.
The recipe promises an easy solution for “tender, fluffy, flavorful” pancakes by following a few steps and by using precise quantities of flour, sugar, baking power, baking soda, salt, eggs, vegetable oil, milk and vanilla extract.
Like other guests who appear on WPR talk shows to discuss cooking and food, Collin Davison gave WPR permission to republish a recipe mentioned during the program. And it turns out, some recipes are really popular among readers even years after broadcast.

Readers also flocked last year to WPR’s program archives for recipes on pizza dough, scones and meatloaf. In each case, the recipe was republished with permission from a chef or author who appeared on a WPR talk show. Several popular recipes came from “America’s Test Kitchen.”
