Wisconsinites can look forward to a dry July 4 that’s more than 15 degrees cooler than last year.
Mark Gehring, a lead forecaster with the National Weather Service in Sullivan, says to expect more sun than today along with temperatures in the mid- to- upper- 70s.
In south-central Wisconsin, there’s a slight chance for showers or thunderstorms.

The pleasant weather is likely to continue into the weekend, with temperatures reaching the 80s. Gehring says those headed to northern Wisconsin or northern portions of central Wisconsin should take an umbrella just in case, due to a chance of thunderstorms.
