Tonight’s commute could be dicey in much of Western and Southern Wisconsin.
Lori Getter of Wisconsin Emergency Management urges people who have to be out on the roads to allow for extra time.
“Right now roads are pretty treacherous. They are snow-packed and icy. We’ve had lots of reports of slide-offs and accidents. We had one fatality early this morning with a semi going off a bridge in Dunn County. But again, if you’re planning on traveling we’re advising people to take extra time, go to 511 Wisconsin to check the conditions, and make sure you have an emergency kit because if you do slide off it may take time before emergency crews can get to help you.”
