As DNR Increases Sample Size More Deer Test Positive For CWD
In 2018, more than 1,000 deer tested positive for the fatal neurological condition called chronic wasting disease–or, CWD. The 2018 test was the largest sampling of cervids since the state started monitoring for the disease in 2002. We talk to a reporter about the work the state is doing to combat the disease.

First Photo Of Black Hole Revealed This Week
The first visual evidence of a black hole was released to the public this week. The picture released–which shows a glowing ring of gas surrounding a dark spot–is direct evidence of black holes and helps prove Einstein’s general theory of relativity. We talk to an astronomer about the significance of the discovery and what it might mean for physics moving forward.
