A company is hiring 600 seasonal workers in Eau Claire for the upcoming holiday season.
The company, Radial, provides support to large retailers such as American Eagle and Shoe Carnival. The positions are primarily in customer service on the phone and through email or chat.
A Radial spokeswoman said the company is planning to hire more than 23,000 seasonal workers worldwide to support retailer’s growing ecommerce business.

Mark Allen, director of operations in Eau Claire, said the company is looking to fill these positions before holiday shopping typically ramps up.
“Our peak season is really at its height between October and December, but we’re really looking to fill these positions as early as late August,” he said.
Allen said some of these jobs may last even longer.
“We fully expect that a number of the positions that we bring on as seasonal will turn into regular positions after the peak season is completed,” he said.
Statewide, unemployment has dropped to a 17-year low.
